Q and A

Question

What will happen when I start Tribuss?

How does it works on the first time taking them? What do you feel when you take tribuss for a first time?

Answer

Hi,

Thanks for your email. Are you starting Tribuss soon?

Everybody responds differently when starting treatment. Some people will have difficult side effects, others will not only have mild side effects and some people won’t notice any change at all. Unfortunately it’s not possible to predict how somebody will respond until they start treatment.

Tribuss is a combination pill which contains 3 antiretrovirals (ARVs). These are efavirenz, FTC and tenofovir. This is a very widely used combination for treating HIV.

Atroiza is a generic version of Atripla.  It’s also called Trustiva, Tribuss or Odimune. There ls more information about this drug on our HIV meds page. It is also a good idea to have a look at this page about efavirenz side effects as it’s good to know about the possibility of these before you start treatment.

For general information about starting treatment please see our Introduction to combination therapy. Please do get back in touch if you have any questions or need any further information.
