HIV in England to remain as nationally commissioned specialist service

A report by the Clinical Advisory Group for Prescribed Services (CAG) has been published, recommending which specialised services for people with rare conditions should be commissioned nationally in England.
This report, running to over 200 pages confirms that HIV care and treatment services will be commissioned by the NHS Commissioning Board (see pages 75-76 and 88-90 for adult and paediatric care respectively).
