I am HIV positive, my girlfriend is pregnant but she tested negative. Is this possible and will the baby be negative? We’ve have been having sex without a condom.

Hi,
It is possible that your girlfriend is negative. There are many couples with one positive and one negative partner. HIV is actually a difficult virus to catch. It is not transmitted every time you have sex without a condom.
If your girlfriend remains HIV negative you child will also be negative. It is important to use condoms while your girlfriend is pregnant. This is because being pregnant increases her risk for HIV.
