I am HIV postive and i am pregnant. Is it possible for me to have an abortion?

Hi,

It is safe and possible for HIV positive women to have an abortion in a clinic or hospital. This is your right and there are many reasons women might choose to do this.

If the only reason is because you are worried your child might be HIV positive this is not necessary. Many many HIV positive women safely have HIV negative children. This is done using HIV treatment. HIV treatment prevents your baby being born with HIV.
