Q and A

Question

How to fit taking my treatment around work?

I was diagnosed with HIV in 2006. I haven’t been sick yet and my latest cd4 results were a CD4 of 550. I’m planning to start ARVs. How can I fit taking them around when I’m at work and home?

Answer

Hi

It is good you are considering treatment (ARVs) even with your already quite high CD4 count.

Some ARVs are taken are certain times of the day but there is flexibility. People do change the time they take their ARVs for all sorts of reasons though such as changing work. This is OK as long as you keep taking regularly at the new time. Your doctor will be able to advise you if you want to take your ARVs at different times.
