Will formula milk put my baby at risk?

I chose to breast feed my baby but it didn’t work since my milk was not coming out enough and his sugars are low. I had to change to formula, will my baby be infected?

Congratulations on having your baby.
Different countries have different recommendations on breastfeeding or using formula milk.
It is not recommended to switch between breast milk and formula milk but if you are using formula milk from now on that is fine. Using formula milk is actually the safest way to feed your baby. The reason some countries recommend breast feeding is that it can be hard to find formula all the time and have access to clean water.
