Why am I gaining so much weight?

Am positive since July and i immediately embark on ARV, but now am adding weight seriously that people have started asking me, what should i do. Am on efeverin and lamuvidin.

Most people put on some weight when starting treatment. This is normal and healthy.
More serious weight gain can sometimes also be a side effect from the meds. Although it is less common with modern meds, it can be difficult and upsettings. The main options are mainly related to looking at your diet and becoming more active – although sometimes changing to different meds might help.
The medical term is lipodystrophy and this is something your doctor should know about.
