Question

My viral load is 20, is this OK?

Been on Atripla for 6 years now ,

went for my regular test ,got my results today and CD4 is on 900 but VL is less than 20 copies am very worried as it is usually undetectable.

what can i do to make sure it gets undetectable again?

The classification for an undetectable viral load is less than 50 copies. Therefore, you are still undetectable because your viral load is less than this. You’re doing well, and have nothing to worry about.

    I started my ARV’S in 6months ago and went for checkup today my doctor told me that im doing very well as my viral load was very high in last 6months with cd4 of 437.my viral load is now less than 4 and my cd4 went up to 897.he told me not to default my treatment as I’m doing very well.

    Hi Esm1207,

    Once a persons viral load goes below 50 they are undetectable. Therefore, you’re no longer in the, ‘red zone’. This is great news.

    A viral of less than 20 means that its undetectable. This great news, as the above post explains.
