ARVs aren’t known to cause fertility problems in women.
If you’ve been trying for a while, please talk to your doctor who can help.

ARVs don’t affect woman’s fertility. If you’re having trouble getting pregnant you’ll need to talk to a fertility specialist.
Hi I’ve been on Arvs for just 2 months now im trying to conceive without any luck,,can the Arvs stop me from falling pregnant i was diagnosed in 2017 but i didn’t take my medication can that be the cause by the way I’ve been trying to conceive since 2019 till now

If you’re having problems getting pregnant, it won’t be due to the ARVs. ARVs don’t affect fertility.
If you’re having issues you’ll need to see a fertility specialist.
Hi Gugu, I am sorry to hear that this is so difficult. ARVs are not causing this problem. The HIV meds are probably making it easier to become pregnant because they are keeping you much more fit and healthy. Many women who are taking HIV meds still become pregnant and have healthy babies so this is not the cause.

If you and your wife are having issues with conceiving, it’s not due to your status, nor the ARVs that you take. You’re going to need to talk to a fertility doctor.
