How soon after catching HIV will someone become infectious?

Hi my partner possibly just became positive but just 2 hours later had sex with me. Can it be transmitted from him to me in that short time span. We will wait for the test result but this will take up to a week.

Hi

Even if your partner is npw HIV positive, it takes at least a few days before he becomes infection. More often, this would take about 10 days.

No HIV test will get you an earlier result though. He will need to wait 2-3 weeks before a test results will be accurate.
