Can someone who is HIV positive use mediclaim?

If a person is HIV positive and in future if he goes for any sort of hospitalisation, is the Mediclaim facility applicable for him?

Mediclaim is a hospital insurance scheme in India which involves several different insurance companies. Each company has its own policies with regards to HIV. In all of the policies I could find having HIV meant you were not eligible to claim.
However, a new scheme is being established by Population Services International (PSI) and Network of Maharasta by People Living with HIV (NMP+) to offer health insurance specifically for HIV positive people in India. To find out more about this policy please follow this link.
