I had unprotected sex while on PEP.

My name is Nelson. I had unprotected sex with someone, I got placed on PEP in less than 48 hours. I have been on PEP for 21days, the drug used is a TLD combination. I recently had sex with someone at 21 days on PEP, the person tested negative. Please what should I do? I heard the TLD combination can still serve as both PEP and PrEP.

Hi Nelson, how are you?
If your parter has tested negative there is no need for you to extend your course fo PEP. You can finish the course as expected. Have you let your partner know your are on PEP? Though small, there may be a risk to them and they can discuss their risk with a doctor.
TLD is not used for PrEP. Only Truvada and Discovy have been licensed for use as PrEP. Though with your partner testing negative, you would have no need to be on PrEP.
