Will marijuana use affect results of an HIV test?

I smoke quite alot of marijuana and i had a HIV test recently.
It came back negative but i was wondering if its possible the marijuana could produce a false negative?

No.
The results of an HIV test are not affected by anything else that you may be taking – alcohol, drugs or other medications.
