Has my girlfriend recently become HIV positive?

Am one year now with my girlfriend and she tested positive to HIV recently with no symptoms and the doctor said that her CD4 is high which means she have a healthy immune system am just confused, does it mean that she contacted HIV recently?

Hi, how are you doing?
It is difficult to comment on when your girlfriend became positive. People will react differently to HIV and how their CD4/VL load responds cannot give definitive timelines of when they were exposed.
As she does have a high CD4 count it is more suggestive of a recent infection but this cannot be confirmed. Some people can remain with a high CD4 count for months/years after their initial exposure.
How is your girlfriend coping? Has she started treatment?
