When am I protected when taking daily PrEP?

I have taken 1 pill per day since Monday , 5 in total. Can I have sex safely today or should I take double dose ? Today is Saturday

Are you talking about PrEP?

Protection is based on your position in sex and who you are having sex with.

As a male, if you are bottoming, it is recommended that you have at least 7 days of PrEP prior. You do not need to do this if you take a double dose.

For receptive vaginal sex maximum protection is reached at 21 days of daily PrEP.
