Can a positive person test negative again?
Answer
Hi, how are you doing?
No. HIV tests look for antibodies.
Antibodies are what the body makes in response to HIV.
These antibodies remain in the body and do not leave over time.
This means that an HIV test will remain positive once you have tested as such.
Josh.
Hi Mark
There is plenty of info here:

Your tests are negative but we are not a service for HIV test results.

Hi,
I had risky encounter. I did following tests
Day 0 – negative
Day 28 – negative
day 72. – negative (laboratory blood test 4th gen ECLIA)
day 93 – reactive
Day 120 – negative -oraquick saliva
Day 135- negative – oraquick saliva
Day 140 -negative – laboratory 4th gen ECLIA
Day 160 -negative – oraquick saliva
Day 185 – negative – laboratory 4th gen ECLIA
Not really sure what kind of test was the reactive one but it was done from my blood.
I dont know about any immuno deffeciency that i have although i’m alergic to some kind of pollens. I thought that once somebody is hiv positive the test will show it especially 4th gen laboratory tests. But all tests were negative except the one.
How can this be interpreted? Perhaps false positive?
Hi Betty and thank you for the question.
What medication are you referring to? Have you heard of a specific name?
HIV research is ongoing and producing very good results.
We have today very good medication, with minimal side effects that allow people living with HIV live long, healthy, active lives.
We are now seeing clinical research and new medication that a person can take once a week, every two months or every 6 months.
They are called long acting medication.
However, I am not aware of a medication that provides HIV cure – or a clinical trial for such a medication.
Please send us more information if you have it.
Is the News about HIV cure medicine coming out soon in 2025 true or false?
