If treatment is not treating you well can you quit it?

Answer

Hi, how are you doing?

What do you mean by the treatment not treating you well e.g., is it not working, are you experiencing side effects, are you struggling taking it everyday?

How long have you been on this medication? and what is your CD4 count and viral load?

This is a link to a guide about starting.

Starting HIV medication is difficult but it is the best and only way to make sure HIV is not impacting your immune system/health.

Adjusting to a new treatment can be difficult but there can be ways to make it easier e.g., switching the type of medication, changing when you take it, managing side effects as they ware off etc…

What is your main concern with your treatment currently?
