Does a non-reactive test after 6 months mean I am HIV negative?

25 March 2008. Related: All topics, HIV transmission.

i had sexual exposure in august 2007. i went for antibody test at the end of three month and the result was non-reactive.

i went for antibody test at the end of six month and the result was non-reactive again.

After the incident in august2007 i have not involved myself in any risky behaviour .
is this result reliable enough to consider myself hiv negative. do i need further testing?

Non-reactive 6 months after exposure means that you are HIV negative.

You do not need another test.

    If I got unprotected sex on 12/23/2023, but she got tested for the HIV Ab antigen test and it gives a negative results both at 11/14/2023 and 1/5/2024. I was injecting penis into vagina. What are the odds of me having HIV?

    Hi isah, your results are conclusive. You are HIV negative. Your current symptoms are not caused by HIV and you should speak with your doctor for further investigations.

    Hello sir ,I had unprotected sex on 17july and tested negative after 1 months ,also tested negative Oct,also negative in Nov,also negative in this January,but I have some symptoms,like body pain and swollen glands in the groin,rough mouth , diarrhea every morning also my body is so soft than before ,so I’m so scared,thou i took different type medication before ,,did i still need another test ??

    Hi Kevin, at this point any test would give a conclusive result. You do not have HIV.

    In 2022, 13 april I had a sex with a sex worker and it was my first time so while doing sex that my condom was fallen down so for atleast 30 second or 1 minute I had sex with her without safety and after 7 months at 23 November 2022 I had done my tridot hiv test and my all test was negative vdrl test , hbsag, and hiv reading this all was negative.
    Result was:
    Hiv reading = 0.7
    Hiv hbsag reading = 0.22
    Vdrl reading = non reactive .
    So sir now also I am afraid for that I am having hiv or not so can you please tell me sir that I am hiv negative or positive sir please ??
