Does a non-reactive test after 6 months mean I am HIV negative?

25 March 2008. Related: All topics, HIV transmission.

i had sexual exposure in august 2007. i went for antibody test at the end of three month and the result was non-reactive.

i went for antibody test at the end of six month and the result was non-reactive again.

After the incident in august2007 i have not involved myself in any risky behaviour .
is this result reliable enough to consider myself hiv negative. do i need further testing?

Non-reactive 6 months after exposure means that you are HIV negative.

You do not need another test.

I had sex with someone who was HIV positive and two months after I was tested negative. I went back 3 months after the first test which sums up to six months after exposure and I was tested negative again. Do I need any other test?

Hi doctor , I m going to medical some essentials blood test … but technicians wrongly used fresh cotton ball in arm where blood drawing area . I’m worry about can HIv transmitted ,so do any test required please confirm

Hello Docter,
I have , nacked huging some one , no any intercourse and deep kiss etc ….only just nacked huging . My exposure is already 7 Months passed …in between i have test HIv combo , Hiv RNA PCR. test and Rapid Test ,all test are non reactive . So my question is I m Safe or Not. And do any test further require so please kindly.
