Answer
Hi
Thanks for your question and the chance to post a reply online.
For general information about HIV and how treatment works, see the i-Base Introduction to combination Therapy:
http://www.i-base.info/guides
For contact in Singapore try the website of Action for AIDS, Singapore. This is a community organisation that provides support around testing, treatment and other related issues.
Their website include a list of support groups.
I also found a helpline number from an internet search that might also be useful:
24-hours AIDS & STD Helpline. Tel: 1800 252 1324.
Although you are scared, it gets much easier if you contact other people who have been in the same situation.
Please let me know if you have other questions.
Hi Jc,
Is there someone that you can talk to, a close friend perhaps or a relative? Or is there a HIV support group near to where you live?
Not knowing what to do is common. Just give yourself some time, you’re going to be OK.
When you were diagnosed did someone talk to you about medication? Were you given any other tests results?
I was tested hiv positive n I don’t know what I do now n what I need is someone to advise me
