Q and A

Question

I'm moving from Asia to Europe- when do I take my meds?

I’m traveling from Asia to Europe (UK) for a year to work. I’m currently on meds 7am and 7pm. I’m take 2 meds in the morning and 3 meds in the evening.

What time I should take my meds while in UK?

Thank You.

Answer

Thanks for your question.

When you get to the UK you should change straight away to talking your medication at 7am and 7pm, British time. Because you are on a twice daily regime it shouldn’t cause you any problems to have one day where you take your meds at a different time to normal.

HI Favour, each country will have their own regulations for people living with HIV and access to treatment will be different for each. You can use this website to determine what visa requirements each country has: https://www.hivtravel.org/

As i-base is a UK based country I do not have more information than provided from this website for further enquiry. There are often charities similar to i-base found in each of the countries you have mentioned. They would be more suitable to contact to determine on what you need to do.

Please I want to know if I can travel to any of the foreign countries like Finland, Europe or USA been HIV patient and how do I move with the drugs? Also how can I have access to drugs over there if I run out of the once I went with?

Second question, do I need to inform the work VISA agent about my status? Please I really need help because I’m in the vage of declining traveling out.
