Question
Is an hour window time ok for adherence?

If you are taking meds at 7am, would it be ok to take them at 6am one day and 8 am the next? Would that ‘window’ cause any problems?
Answer
This answer really depends on which drugs you are taking. Some medications have a better half-lives which means at the end of the dosing period (whether 12 or 24 hours) you have a little safety zone in case you are a little late.
Generally, an hour either way will be ok for most combinations – especially if you already have reduced your viral load to less than 50 copies/ml (undetectable).
Most doctors would not recommend doing this regularly, but don’t loose sleep over it if this is not everyday.
