I am a UK resident with an EU passport planning on moving to Spain, Valencia. Will I be able to continue to have free access to antiretrovirals whilst in spain?
Answer
Hello,
Thank-you for your question. Access to the Spanish healthcare system is dependent on how long you plan to stay, and the reason for your visit.
Information about access to healthcare for British nationals in Spain can be found at the British Embassy for Madrid’s website: UK in Spain.
Hi Merida, thanks for this info, I also recommende people contact an HIV organisation in Spain as i-Base is in the UK.
I think if are working living in Spain paying taxes. You will be able to get the meds for free. Because Spain have the universal care system of phep meds.
