Is it ok to take omega-3 fish oil whilst also taking Sustiva and Truvada?
Would it be ok to take a multivitamin like Centum?
Qhat about rooibos tea and green tea?

You are right to check any interactions with ARVs first.
In these examples, all are fine to take with any ARV combination.
Omega-3 can reduce tryglcerides (and cholesterol to a lesser extent) and can reduce risk of heart disease when diet changes haven’t rediced these to target levels.
Multivitamins are fine too are green tea and rooibos tea.

Hi Nzuzo. Thanks for your comment. What does your doctor say about this? If your meds include a medicine called efavirenz then the breast enlargement might be a side effect – the medical term is gynaecomastia. Please look at this link.

If your doctor doesn’t take this seriously you can take the article too. Then perhaps ask if there are alternative HIV meds you could use.

Hi, Captopril is a drug for treating high blood pressure. You don’t say what ARVs you’re taking, and there might be an interaction with Captopril. But your doctor should have checked about this before advising you to take it along with your HIV meds. You could ask your doctor for more information about any possible interactions or side effects with Captopril.
Hi I am on ARVs and my doctor advised that we try captopril for BP due to sexual dysfunction I experience from other medication but have not started yet, will there be any interactions between Captopril and ARVs.
There is no a safety concern from taking a cod liver oil supplement. There is no evidence to show it will have an immune benefit though.

It is very important that you talk to your doctor about these symptoms. These could be side effects of treatment or signs of another infection.
