Why is my husband vomiting after taking tribuss?

My husband has been on tribuss (efavirenz, FTC and tenofovir) for a month with no effects but now immediately after swallowing it he vomits like never before. He is also on rifafour for TB. I would like to know what would be the cause?
Answer
As with any side effects or symptoms it’s important that your husband speaks to his doctor about this. I can’t tell you whether this is a side effect of treatment or related to something else.
If he is vomiting straight after taking his treatment this could make it less effective. His doctor should be able to give him something to help with the vomiting.
