Can I take augmentin(amoxicillin) with hiv prescriptions Truvada, Prezista (darunavir) and norvir (ritonavir)?

Thanks for your question. There are no interactions expected between these ARVs and amoxicillin. It is always a good idea to check with your HIV doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medicines.

Hi Didi, yes you can. As with all supplements, it is recommended to take Apetito and ARVs at opposite ends of the day to avoid any interactions. e.g., ARVs in the morning and Apetito as you go to bed.

Amoxicillin won’t have any impact on your immune system whist taking ARVs. If anything, if your CD4 is low it will help you.

I have an ear infection due to shingles. The doctor prescribed augmentin. I read the side effects r bad so I’m scared to take it. I was also told to take prednisone which affects the immune system badly. Should I take these meds . I was given an injection too so the pain in my ear and head is not so bad as before.
