Worried about facial lipoatrophy, what shall I do?

Hi, I have just strated taking Atripla, without any bad side effects. The problem is I am scared and worried about the side effects of Atripla on facial wasting. Even just developement of deep lines between my mouth-grade 1 lipoatrophy.

Firstly, Atripla is less linked to developing lipoatrophy compared to some other combinations. In that respect, you are on one of the best possible options.
I admit, lipoatrophy is not a condition that one could possibly wish for, but if it ever appears at all with your combination, there are means of dealing with it. Those and other details about the condition are explained here.
Theoretically, the combination should work forever, as long as you take it with the due adherence.
Alcohol does not really play much of a role on the effect of the HIV medicines. If you abuse alcohol though, you may miss doses or your side effects may feel stronger sometimes.
Finally, stress does not affect the effect of the ARVs, but it may be a ‘bad news’ for your general health.
Can you tell me too please, if the drug works well, I do not drink alcohol and take my Atripla on time without missing a dose, how long will I be able to use the drug? Will the stress stop my Atripla from working, that will lead to a resistance?
