I have been taking PEP for 11 days and I had unprotected sex. What happens if I had unprotected sex while taking PEP?

Hi there

There are two parts of your question.

1. The PEP will act as both PrEP and PEP for the recent unprotected sex. This will protect you against HIV.
2. Please find out about PrEP and then talk to a doctor about this. PrEP can protect you in the future, without needing to use PEP. This guide has more info on PrEP.
