Question
Is my eating schedule affecting my treatment?
10 February 2023. Related: All topics, Drug interactions, Newly diagnosed.
Hi.
I wake up daily at 7:30 am. Have a light snack (few nuts etc) at 7:40am.
I take TLD at 8am.
I then drink a glass of milk (200ml) along with some crisps at 9:30am. Am concerned about milk due to vitamin D in it.
I was diagnosed 5 months ago, haven’t done a VL test till now, so have no way of knowing if my eating schedule is causing treatment resistance.
Answer
Hi, how are you doing?
No. You’re eating schedule is not affecting your treatment.
Vitamin D in food is fine. It will not change the effectiveness of treatment.
Supplements with Vitamin D can cause problems because it is at a much higher concentration. In a normal diet the level of Vitamin D is not high enough to do this.
Josh.
