Q and A

Question

When should I take Mytelga?

My brother is coming from hospital. He was taking Trenvir and now they have given him Myltega so is it better take it in the morning?

Answer

Hi, how are you and your brother doing?

Myltega is a brand name of dolutagravir. It should be used in combination with other drugs to treat HIV. Usually it is given in combination with tenofovir and lamivudine. This is a combination called TLD.

As dolutegravir can cause problems sleeping it is recommended to take this medication in the morning. This is because by bedtime this side effect will have likely worn off.

Josh.
