Are GUM clinics infecting people with HIV?

Curiously has anyone ever been infected going to a GUM clinic? If so, what legal action can you take?

I’m scared that a GUM clinic I went to someone might have put a needle there to infect other people?

I think maybe you are being a little paranoid! GUM clinics would never purposely infect anyone with HIV. All their equipment is sterilised. There has never been a case of someone getting HIV from attending a GUM clinic.

If it were to happen you would have to be able to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the infection did in fact come from the clinic if you were to take legal action. This would be very difficult.
