Can I take 3TC once-daily?

I am taking tenefovir 300 mg once daily, 3TC 150 mg twice daily and EFV 600 mg once daily. Is it possible to take 3TC 300mg once daily instead of 150mg twice daily?

Yes, you can take it either 300 mg once daily or 150 mg twice daily.
Although 3TC originally needed to be taken twice-daily, more recent research found that 3TC levels stayed active for much longer inside cells than was thought based on blood levels.
It is necessary to discuss the switch with your doctor first though, as he/she may have particular reasons for your current dosage and it is always important to discuss before you decide on whether to switch or not.
