Question

My cd4 is over 500, I’m taking meds, but the side effects are terrible. Can I stop?

Hy there …I’m 26 years old n hiv+. My cd4 count is 514..is it necessary to take arvs? Its been 3 weeks now n i cant stop vomiting. These arvs make me very sick and I’m afraid my cd4 wil drop…help

WHO recommend that everyone who is HIV+should be on medication. This is even for people who have a high CD4.

When people start ARVs, they may have side effects. Theses often  go within 2-4 weeks. If they don’t then you could speak to your doctor. For more info on dealing with side effects, please see the following link:
