Report on dispersal of asylum seekers in the UK
4 March 2006. Related: On the web.
The National AIDS Trust (NAT) have launched a new report, Dispersal of Asylum Seekers Living with HIV.
The report outlines research carried out by NAT on the experiences of clinicians working in areas from and to which asylum seekers were dispersed, following a questionnaire sent to BHIVA members last autumn.
The bulletin includes a commitment to review the new policy in 12 months time. NAT would therefore urge health care staff to keep a brief record of any particular positive or negative experiences of dispersal in 2006 that could help to inform that review.
