The only way to lower viral load is to use HIV meds (ART). These are really effective treatment and are the only proven way to do this.
HIV is a virus that can only be treated with effective medicines.
ARVs are the “natural” way. Any suggestion otherwise is misguided and unhelpful.
Hi Sheila, viral load is high when HIV is active in the body. The higher the viral load, the more HIV is in your body. Viral load is high because HIV is able to replicate in the body and without treatment, there is nothing to prevent HIV continuing to be active in the body.
Treatment is used to suppress viral load. This means that HIV is less active in the body and is unable to cause damage to the immune system.
