I’m positive and on meds, can I have the HEP vaccine?
Answer
Thanks for getting in touch.
If you are asking about vaccines for either hepatitis A or hepatitis B, then the answer is yes.
Both these vaccines are not only safe if you are HIV positive and on medication, but they are recommended.
This US leaflet has general informations about HIV and vaccinations:

The UK BHIVA guidelines on HIV and vaccinations are more technical and detailed but are an excellent reference for each important vaccine. Sometimes, depending on your CD4 count, the vaccine dose and schedule can be different for HIV positive people.
