Will missing one dose of Atripla affect my baby?

I forgot to take my ARV’s once and im 4 months pregnant..will it affect my baby?

    Hi Mathapelo, missing your regular medication time by a minute (even an hour) is not going to change how effective your treatment is. As long as you take the treatment within an hour of the regular time you use, your treatment will still work.

    Hi Nomsa, missing one pill is not going to risk transmission for your baby. This will have no effect on yours or your baby’s health.

    It’s common to forget to take ARVs from time to time. Missing one dose won’t be an issue for either you or your baby.

    Hi Nosipho,

    When someone has an undetectable viral load it’s OK to take meds a few hours either side of your normal time. Your viral load will be OK as this takes at least a week before it starts to rebound.

    No it won’t affect your baby as there won’t have been any change in your viral load.
