   Hi Mis,

   When applying for a visa for the UK you won’t be asked if you’re HIV, we don’t do this.
   ARVs are free to anyone who lives in the UK, this includes international students. As to where you’ll access medication this will depend on where it is that you’ll be living.    When you come over the easiest thing to do is to bring over a copy of your medical history as well as a few months supply of meds.

   Hi there,

   Hope this message finds you all well.

   I’m planning to further my Masters in UK next year (2021) around September.

   1) May I know if there’s a specific requirement when applying for a tier-4 student visa particularly involving my status as a PLHIV? Do I need to declare my status to the immigration? I’m really concerned.

   2) May I know how I can get the medication below and also the cost?

   Emtricitabine Tenofovir Disproxil Fumerate + Efavirenz ; My CD4 is 771 ; Viral Load is UVL

   3) Is there a specific clinic, hospital or pharmacy in UK that I have to go to get them or is it available all across UK?

   4) If yes, can I know the procedure?

   5) Also, because of the pandemic and Brexit, is there a possiblity for NHS to increase the price of the medications for international students? If yes, how much is the estimate price?

   Hi Zac,

   We don’t test people for HIV, so no it’s not mandatory when applying for a visa.

   There are no entry restrictions to the UK for people who are HIV positive.
