   Hi Patrick, being HIV positive will not be a barrier to employment in the UK. It is illegal to discriminate and refuse employment on the basis of HIV status.

   HI Ahmed, being HIV positive will not have an impact on you studying in the UK. You are not required to disclose your status and it will not have an effect on getting a student visa.

   Dear Suresh, great that you are coming here to study.

   HIV status does not affect your right to be able to come and study in the UK.

   Please bring your meds will you so that you have time to register with a clinic here, without this being rushed. Coming with 1-2 months of meds is ideal. Please also bring a summary of your HIV and medical history as this will help too.

   Even if immigration officers ask about your meds, it is okay to say what they are for – and that you are well and healthy. They should not ask, but it might be easier to say that you will continue to get meds from your current doctor.

   This is even though you can arrange free care legally once you are in the UK.

    Hi,
    I am planning to pursue my masters in UK coming September 2023. I am HIV positive and on appropriate medicine.
    My question is do I have to disclose my HIV status to visa officer or will it affect my visa??
