I had eye inflammation then blood tests were done. I accepted the HIV test and the results were positive. I’m not sick nor was I sick before now my doctor recommended Odimune as a chronic med. will this not trigger the immune system and start having symptoms?
Answer
Hi there,
How are you doing? Was this something you were expecting?
Even though the news can be difficult it is better to know so you can access treatment.
HIV medicines are recommended for everyone who is HIV positive. They are used to reduce the amount of virus in your body and this lets your immune system become stronger again.
Has the clinic given you a CD4 test yet?
This is usually the first test after finding out you are positive.
Please see this guide for more info about treatment.
