Can I drink water when taking my ARVs?

Hi, is it okay to drink my ARVs (TLD) with mineral spring water? I have noticed the water contains calcium, I am worried if this will interact with my ARVs.
Answer
Hi, how are you?
Yes, you can drink water while taking your ARVs. Calcium levels within mineral water are minute and will not cause an interaction with your medication. Calcium supplements would be required to be taken at a different time due to potential interaction, this would be due to the high calcium level affecting how well Dolutegravir works. Dolutegravir being one of the active ingredients within TLD.

These tablets can be taken with or without food and with any liquid you want.
Taking them without water is not going to affect their effectiveness.
