I took the morning dose of Paxlovid in the evening.

I accidentally took the morning dose of Paxlovid in the evening. Is that a problem?

Hi, how are you doing?

Did you not take the morning dose? and instead you only had Paxlovid in the evening?

As with most medication, this is likely to be fine. Continue taking your medication when you were originally meant to.

If you notice any side effects/unexpected symptoms please speak to a pharmacist/doctor.

    Hi Patty, does this mean that you still have one tablet remaining? and after missing the first tablet on the first day you have taken the rest as prescribed? If this is the case you can take this additional tablet on the last day as an additional dose.

    I accidentally took pink tab only one not 2 on day one late AM so sick that day my first day was having horrible raw throat / ear type pain am on day 5 pain in throat gone feeling better just tired but have 3 white tabs & 1 pink tab left to take was taking care of my husband also and 6 months finished Breast cancer treatment do I take tablets now on last day help

    Hi Annie, this service is just about HIV and you didn’t say whether you are HIV positive. If not, please see the instructions that come with Paxlovid, or speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

    Hi Estee, no there is no difference. They are labelled as morning and evening to help ensure these are when the doses are taken.

    Hi Margie, the morning and evening doses are the same. You can take the missed morning dose in the evening and then continue taking them as normal.
