Does PEP interact with norfloxacin (Norflox)?

Hello. I am on Post exposure (PEP) medication for 15 days. First dose after 8 hrs of exposure.

I’ve gotten a UTI. Another doctor prescribed Norflox antibiotics.

My question is, will antibiotics reduce efficacy of PEP medication?

Norfloxacin (Norflox) is a broad spectrum antibiotic that doesn’t interact with HIV meds.

What is the name of the PEP you are taking?

Commonly people are prescribed TLD as PEP. If this is what you are using, there is no interaction between TLD and Norflox.

It is safe to take them together and both treatments will remain effective.
