Q and A

Question

Can me and my partner have sex if I am breastfeeding?

Good day, can I have unprotected sex while breastfeeding if me and my partner are taking meds and we are both undectable?

Answer

Hi, how are you doing?

Congratulations on having a baby.

Yes you can have sex without a condom.

As both of you are on treatment with an undetectable viral load, there is no risk of super/co-infection.

This means there is no risk to baby and it is safe to continue breastfeeding.

Josh.
