Can I start meds again if my viral load is 8000?

What happened if you viral load is 8000 and u want to start afresh your medication?

I am sorry that I need a bit more information to answer this properly though.

My main question is whether you were still taking your meds when the latest viral load test was done.

If yes, then your clinic will probably suggest changing to a new combination.

If no though – ie if you had stopped taking meds – then restarting again is easy and should still work very well.

Please also talk to your clinic again as they know your HIV history.

The clinic will also want to ask you about whether you were still taking your meds at the time.
