Q and A

Question

Is it normal to come out in spots when starting HIV treatment?

I normally have clear skin with no spots but have come out in teenage spots which looks strange as I am in my 30s.

Answer

Thank you for your question.

If you experience any side effects when first starting medication you should speak to your HIV doctor about it.

To enable me to answer more specifically, it would be good to know which treatments are you taking and when did you start taking them? Spots are not a usual side effect of medication but if they begin to resemble a rash then you should definitely speak to your doctor about it.
