    Hi titi,

Its great to hear that your CD4 is good and that you’re undetectable.

With regards to the flu, i-base advocates aren’t doctors. Therefore, I would advise that you see a doctor if your flu is bad.

    Hi Slender

The response to treatment varies so much between different people that this is not possible to predict. Generally though, the higher your CD4 count was when you started treatment, the greater the chance that it will reach 500.

If your CD4 count went very low, for example, below 100, or even below 200, then not everyone get back above 500.

The biggest CD4 increases come over the first year or two. After this, the CD4 count is still likely to be increasing, but at a slower and steadier rate.

Although 500 is often used as a target, so long as you stay above 350 the chance of HIV-related health problems is very low.

    Hi there

I’m happy to report that my cd4 count is picking up nicely…..today got my results and at 399. I know it’s a marathon but how long will it take for me to get to Atleast 600?

My results are back and CD4 stayed the same at 336 and viral load undetected. My doctor gave me green light to can now start trying for a baby and put me back on Odimune. The one thing that kept me healthy for long time was exersising and eating healthy and living a positive life.

    Hi Slender

You have been lucky to be able to stay health for so long without treatment. It is good that you have a new partner who is supporting you.

Good luck with the tests 0 these are really important – let us know how you get on :))

I was infected about 20 yrs ago but I thought I was dreaming and ignored it until now when I am in a stable relationship and want to start a family. I asked my boyfriend that we must get tested for everything and the nightmare came back. I am very fortunate cause he is giving me all the support and because I was also stressed thats when my gynae did the cd4 test and viral load. Now I started taking vitamins to prepare my body for pregnancy. Will give you my latest results in a days time.

Thank you for everything and your guidance.

    Hi Slender,
This is a very good response to treatment- it is unusual to see such a rapid CD4 count increase! Do you know if you might have been infected very recently? An ‘undetectable’ viral load is anything of 50 or lower. Most people achieve this within the first 6 months of treatment- there is more information about this here.

I have been on treatment for 3 months now and when I was dignose my CD4 was 88 ans viral load 5 00000,now my Cd4 is 336 and viral load 112. What is a undetected viral load, the cd4 I’m ok with it cause I run so it will pick up easy.
