I’ve been on medication for 11 months. Is it OK for me to have sex without a condom, my boyfriend is negative.
Answer
Thanks for getting in touch.
As long as your viral load is undetectable, which it should be as you’ve been on meds for 11 months, (it usually takes 1-3 months to become undetectable) then no you can’t transmit HIV when having sex without a condom. Please see here for more info: https://i-base.info/u-equals-u/
