Q and A

Question

Can i take Tribuss in the mornings instead of in the evening?

Answer

Hi,

Tribuss is a generic version ( a copy) of  a pill called Atripla. It contains exactly the same ingredients and works in the same way. It only has a different name because it is made by a different company.

It is usually recommended that you take Tribuss in the evening before you go to bed. This is because of some of the side effects it can cause. It can change your mood and make it difficult to focus. By taking in the evening you are trying to avoid these. You would be asleep when drug levels are the highest.

If you are asking because you are having problems with Tribuss you should speak to your clinic or doctor. They can help you work out what to do. They can also tell you what alternatives they have available.

You can find more information about Tribuss/Atripla in our online meds guide.

    Hi Anonymous.

When someone first starts taking ARVs it’s common to have some form of side effects as the following explains: https://i-base.info/guides/starting These usually got within a few weeks.

The medication that you’re taking is a generic version of Atripla, these are the common side effects with this medication: https://i-base.info/guides/1561

If you’re really struggling with the meds it might be worth asking your doctor to change you to someone else.

If you’re sick an hour after taking your meds, this should be OK.

As you’re pregnant, you may find this helpful: https://i-base.info/guides/pregnancy

    Hi Power,

Trivenz is a generic version on Atripla, ideally it needs to be taken before a person goes to sleep. If this for you is in the morning, then yes it can be taken in the morning.
