My clinic has said i’ve defaulted on my Atripla treatment and am not taking anything. What now? Is there other treatment available in South Africa?
Answer
Hi,
It is important for you to get back on treatment.
South African treatment guidelines contain information about which drugs people should take after having defaulted on a combination. In your case these are AZT, 3TC and lopinavir with ritonavir. You should talk to his clinic about getting on these meds as quickly as possible.
You can find the treatment guidelines i am talking about online. The relevant information in section 6.6.7 on page 70.
You can find more information about changing treatment in our guide.
